Rumpke Waste provides weekly curbside recycling for city residents. Combine cans; cardboard; cartons; cups (aluminum, paper, and some plastic); glass bottles and jars; paper and boxes; plastic bottles, jugs, and tubs; and clear plastic clamshells loose (unbagged) in the provided wheeled cart. Scrap Metal
Do not place scrap metal in your curbside recycling. Recycle popcorn tins, car parts, metal cord and rope, appliances, and scrap pieces at a local scrap yard.
Broadview Heights has a curbside collection for large scrap metal items like appliances and lawnmowers. Residents should call (440) 717-4022 before noon on Wednesdays to schedule a Thursday pickup.

The only metal that belongs in your curbside recycling is aluminum and steel food and beverage cans.
Reusable Metal Cups and Mugs
Unwanted steel or stainless steel cups and mugs are recyclable, but they should not be placed in your curbside recycling cart or bin. Instead, you can drop them off at a local scrap yard or your community's scrap metal collection.

Drop-Offs for Scrap Metal
Scrap metal, including extra-large cookie and popcorn tins, car parts, appliances, clean aluminum foil, license plates, wire hangers, nuts or bolts, and hot water tanks, can be taken to a local scrap metal yard for recycling. You may receive a rebate.
