Aluminum Foil
Do not place aluminum foil or foil pans in curbside recycling. Recycle clean aluminum foil at a local scrap metal yard or your city service department.
Aluminum foil and foil pans should not be included in your home or curbside recycling.
The only metal that belongs in your curbside recycling is aluminum and steel food and beverage cans.
Drop-Offs for Scrap Metal
Recycle clean aluminum foil along with other scrap metal, including extra-large cookie and popcorn tins, car parts, appliances, license plates, wire hangers, nuts or bolts, and hot water tanks, at a local scrap metal yard. You may receive a rebate. See a list of businesses that recycle scrap metal. You can also search the Yellow Pages online with your zip code.
Some communities offer a scrap metal drop-off or special curbside pick-up for residents. To find information for your community, use this website’s geolocation services, or choose your community from the green ‘Select a City’ drop-down at the top of the page, then click ‘See Details.’
See the Business Locations list below for scrap metal recyclers.
