The Solid Waste District recycles broken, burned-out light strings, power strips, and power cords year-round. Collected items are donated to the seasonal Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Lights for Lions program. Artificial trees, solar lights, and outdoor spotlights are not accepted. See details.

The event will highlight waste reduction activities and businesses dedicated to repairing personal goods, reducing the waste we create, and changing the mindset of simply throwing things away.
