Furniture in good, working condition can be donated to a community service organization who will distribute the items to those in need or sell them to support their organization's mission. See the list below for Donation Locations.
Consider posting good, usable furniture in an online marketplace or freecycle site.
Recycle
Furniture with metal frames can be disassembled for recycling. Discard wood or fabric in the trash, and recycle the metal. Check with your community about a scrap metal drop-off or collection. Find a scrap metal yard.
Disposal
Broken, ruined, or unusable furniture can be disposed of in your community's bulky waste collection or taken to a waste transfer station for disposal.
