See the list below for detailed recycling and collection programs in Lyndhurst.
Tires
When you buy new tires, recycle your old tires through your tire retailer at the time of purchase. There are no free disposal options for scrap tires.
Lyndhurst has a drop-off for scrap tires every Saturday and Sunday in September at the Lyndhurst Service Garage. Hours are 11:30 AM-3:30 PM. Automotive only (20" or less) and no tires on rims. Residents only; proof of residency is required. No businesses or commercial properties.
Service Garage: 5301 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst
When you buy new tires, dispose of your unwanted tires at the time and place of purchase. You will pay a small recycling fee to cover the cost of disposing of tires at a state-licensed facility.
If you have tires at home, contact a tire retail store such as Conrad’s Tire Express, Firestone Complete Auto Care, Pep Boys, National Tire and Battery (NTB), or Walmart Tire Shop. The stores may dispose of tires for non-customers.
Some communities provide scrap tire collection for residents. Check with your city service department.
Tire Removal
In the State of Ohio, you must be registered with the Ohio EPA to transport more than 10 tires at a time. If you have more than 10 tires or have a large tire pile to be cleaned up, contact a registered tire transporter for disposal services. For options, see the list of Business Locations below.
Illegal Dumping
Need to report an illegal tire dump? Did you see illegal dumping in Cleveland or a Cuyahoga County suburb? Report the crime to your local police department or by contacting the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Environmental Crimes Task Force.
