Dispose of Toner Cartridges Right

Do not place empty ink or toner cartridges in your curbside recycling.

Recycle empty ink and toner cartridges at Office Depot or Staples store. Both retailers offer a rewards program for recycling. HP also offers a supplies recycling program for ink and toner cartridges.

Drop off ink jet cartridges, printer cartridges and other toner cartridges at the Solid Waste District. The District accepts cartridges year-round at 4750 East 131 Street in Garfield Heights. Drop off cartridges in the lobby during business hours Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM or on Second Saturdays. Cartridges are recycled or refurbished by a local nonprofit organization.
