Oil-based paint is a hazardous material that should be disposed of properly. 

Oil-based, flammable paint from a residence should be disposed of at a community household hazardous waste collection. Events are held seasonally or year-round, depending on your community of residence.

Do not place paint cans in curbside recycling.

Waste from Businesses or Commercial Properties

There are different rules regarding the disposal of hazardous wastes from a business, including oil-based paint. Businesses must contract with a licensed company for proper disposal or recycling. See the Business Locations list below for options.
