Dispose of Bicycles Right

The Ohio City Bicycle Co-op accepts donations of bicycles and bike-related items, including biking equipment, tools, clip-in pedals, shoes, and good seats. The co-op is located in Cleveland on the West Bank of the Flats. If you want to donate one or more bicycles to the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op, please send a photo of the bicycle(s) in advance to [email protected]. For details, call (216) 830-2667 or visit their website .

Consider donating your good, used bicycle to another charity or shelter that sells or reuses goods to meet their organizational mission. For donation opportunities, see the list below.

Upcycle Bikes, a for-profit business at 10001 Lorain Avenue in Cleveland, accepts bicycles. Call (216) 334-2453 or visit their website. Upcycle Bikes does not provide donation receipts.

If a bicycle is beyond reuse or repair, it can be placed in the regular trash. Contact your city service department about bulky waste collection in your community.

Looking to recycle, donate, or dispose of other items? Use the dark blue 'What Do I Do With?' search bar at the top of every page of this website. Allow location services or use the city drop-down to find opportunities in your local area.
