Holiday Lights Recycling Program
Recycle your broken, burned out strings of lights, power strips and power cords during the District's holiday lights recycling program. The Solid Waste District accepts strands of lights (holiday lights and other strands) at its facility located at 4750 East 131 Street in Garfield Heights. Drop off in our lobby during business hours M-F 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. See more details.

Recycling Container Grant applications due
The District offers grants to help nonprofit organizations and schools in Cuyahoga County start, expand and improve recycling and composting programs by assisting with the purchase of recycling and composting containers. Eligible organizations may apply for up to $3,000 in grant funds. See more details.

Community Recycling Awareness Grant applications due

The District helps local governments in Cuyahoga County educate their residents about recycling. Communities may apply for up to $5,000 in funding. See more details.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Photo Contest
ENTRIES DUE

Enter our contest for students! Capture what Reduce, Reuse, Recycle means in either a photograph or a drawing. The photo or drawing will show how the student repurposed an object for resue, illustrates how the student reduces waste or shows how the student recycles at home, at school or in their community. Cuyahoga County K-12 grade students or those attending school in Cuyahoga County are eligible for prizes. See more details.
