The District offers presentations and workshops throughout the year for different audiences. Our speaker’s bureau can talk to your class, group, staff or organization about recycling, composting and waste reduction.

Business Recycling Seminars 

Free recycling and waste reduction seminars for businesses, schools and organizations. Learn how to start or improve a workplace recycling program and discuss successes and challenges with your peers.

Compost Seminars & Bin Sales

Compost seminars are typically scheduled in the spring and fall throughout Cuyahoga County to educate about the science of composting and provide residents with how-to-compost instruction.

Day Camp & Scout Programs

Reduce, reuse and recycle can be incorporated into any summer day camp, library or youth programs. Our education specialist can teach campers how to make crafts from items that would normally be thrown away.

General Recycling Presentations

We offer recycling presentations tailored to the specific interests and needs of your group. Consider requesting a speaker for your civic organization, church group, parent-teacher organization or garden club.

School Age & Youth Lectures

The District’s education specialist can visit your classroom to teach about the environment. Classroom presentations are designed to meet science indicators and may also integrate social studies, mathematics and language arts.

Zero Waste Event Training for Volunteer Groups

Our staff can teach your volunteer coalition how to host and implement a zero waste event. Training must take place before the day of the event. Contact us for more details.
