Construction and demolition debris is defined as materials resulting from the alteration, construction, destruction, rehabilitation or repair of any physical structure. Materials include lumber, drywall, brick concrete, metals, plaster, windows, roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, heating equipment, asphalt and insulation.
The Vinyl Siding Institute has a program for recycling vinyl siding and rigid vinyl (PVC) in Northeast Ohio. Clean vinyl siding, soffit and accessories used in residential applications plus vinyl downspouts, PVC pipe and vinyl fence can be recycled though this coalition program. For details, see the flyer.

If you have railroad ties, see the Ohio EPA's guidance document regarding railroad ties. Railroad ties should be disposed of in a solid waste or construction and demolition debris landfill.
